Manitha started her
postdoctoral research in Professor Mikos’ laboratory in
September 2009. She received her M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the
University of Kerala, India (2003) with emphasis on cancer therapy
using NF-kB signaling. From 2004-2009, she studied the regeneration of
segmental bone defects using tissue-engineered bioceramic scaffolds and
earned her Ph. D from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical
Sciences
& Technology (SCTIMST),
Trivandrum, India in 2009. In addition, she has also worked in The Max
Bergmann Center of Biomaterials,
Technical University Dresden, Germany for 6 months as part of DST-DAAD
Personal Exchange Program. Manitha’s current research focuses
on bone tissue engineering using poly(propylene fumarate) scaffolds. |
