I recently completed my PhD in the Earth Science department at Rice University where I worked with Cin-Ty Lee. My research focuses on soil formation in East Africa, modeling physical and chemical weathering and detailed soil analyses.I also spend a good deal of time working with the Baker Institute. In 2005, I put together a short conference on AIDS in the Black community and Trafficking: Women, a panel of self-evident purpose. In 2006, I organized an event on interrogation and the military.
I was recently selected as a Luce Scholar and will be traveling to Peking University to work in the Environmental Science Department and learn about China.
