Installing the Chinese IME Keyboard on a personal Windows Vista computer

1-7: Follow the directions for Steps 1-7 for Installing International Keyboards for Vista.
- Install traditional keyboard: Press "+" preceding "Chinese (Taiwan)", arrow preceding "Keyboard", select "Chinese (Traditional) - New Phonetic"
- Install simplified keyboard: Press "+" preceding "Chinese (PRC)", arrow preceding "Keyboard", select "Chinese (Simplified) - Microsoft Pinyin IME", then press "OK"
- Press "OK" button for the 'Text Services and Input Languages' window and press "OK" button for 'Regional and Language Options' window.
 
Now that the languages have been installed, make sure the proper settings are enabled:
- When using Chinese Traditional:
- With "Chinese (Taiwan)" as selected language in language toolbar, press "Tool Menu", then "Properties"
- Select "Keyboard Tab", select "Han Yu Pinyin" from drop-down menu, then press "OK"
- When using Chinese Simplified:
- With "Chinese (PRC)" as selected language in language toolbar, press "Input Style ", then "ABC Input Style "
