How to batch rename files in a single folder.

Step 1: Locate the files that you would like to batch rename.

Step 1

Step 2: Highlight the files that you wish to rename. The first file highlighted will be the first file that is renamed in the batch process.

Step 3: Right click on the first file, then select "Rename"

Step 4: Rename your first file in the following fashion: [file name] (01).[file extension]. In this case, I will rename the first file as BatchDemo (01).txt. When I press the "Enter Key", the rest of the files in the folder will change in the following fashion: [file name] ( n), where n=the position of the file in the batch renaming queue.

Step 5: If your file total is equal to or greater than 10, you will have to go and type in 0's in front of the corresponding files. This is the tedious part.

All done.

Note: Be very careful when batch renaming files. If you mess up, you will have no idea which file is which. Pay close attention when highlighting your files so that the audio clips do not get switched around.
