Using RealProducer Basic

How to record assignments for foreign language classes

Go to the website for RealProducer

Find the Help link, then locate the drop down menu for Quick Find.

ealProducer is located in this menu.

Follow the simple downloading instructions.

using the Recording Wizard

a.       Record from Media Device (when you use a microphone)

b.       Record from Media Audio)

c.       Enter Title and Description

d.       Select Multi-Rate SureStream (for playing on the RealTime server.)

e.       Select your Target Audience. 28K modem/256K DSL  (Click only 28K if you are emailing the file as an attachment.)

(Have to click or unclick your selection, or you get an error message.)

f.        Choose Voice Only.

g.       Choose the File Name (Save it to the Save Work Here Temporarily folder)

h.       Prepare to Record

Recording the Selection

a.       Press Start.

b.       Monitor the voice levels at the top (Will turn red if too loud.)

c.       Press Stop when you're done (Report in a box appears)

d.       Repeat the above steps if you wish to record again.

Playback

a.       Press the Play button (RealPlayer will launch).
