Windows Media Encoder
Recording Instructions

There will be lots of students coming in to record themselves on the computer using media encoder.  Instructions on how to use this can be found on the LRC webpage under the Students page. If two students need to record together in an interview style there are splitters in a green box labeled "hardware" on the shelf between the two checkout computers.  They will need two splitters: one for the headphones and one for the microphones. If the lab is too full or students are having problems understanding, they may also record on the black OPI tape players in the video room.  They will need a clean blank take with a label on which they are to put their name, class, instructor's name, and the approximate length of their recording on the label.  Please remind them to put their headphone jack on either SIDE of the tape player (not the top or back) for it to record properly.  Afterwards, they will need to fill out a work request form to have it digitized
