Accessing DEUX MONDES, VORSPRUNG,
PREGO,and DESTINOS, while online!
Accessing Audio Files from any computer outside
the LRC:
- Please go to our 2nd Library, which can be found
at ( lang.rice.edu/library2/ ).
- Click on "Audio."
- Chose the series you would like to listen to
- Chose the file you would like to listen to.
- Note: Computers outside the LRC currently cannot access the
Video Collection.
- Note: You can use either a Mac (Internet Explorer only) or a
PC (any browser) to access files from the second library. The
only requirement for listening to the files is that you have Microsoft
Media Player. There is a link to download this program at the
above listed page or follow this link
- Note: Microsoft Media Player for the Mac is a beta version of
the software, meaning it still has some bugs, because of that,
we reccomend using a windows station to access files from outside
of the LRC if you have both options available to you. We will
soon have these files avaliable via Real Audio which should resolve
this issue.
Accessing Audio and Video Files from the
LRC:
- Go to the LRC home page ( LRC ).
- Chose "Students"
- Chose "Access audio/video files."
- Note: Students must use a Windows workstation and Internet Explorer
when accessing these files from the LRC.
