Using F-Secure SSH FTP

1. Using MS Word, Create an index file for your public directory.
2. Open Word, type a few sentence “your name, e-mail address, Language 102 project” “and save as “web page” in tempwrk$ on 'Guttural' directory, call the file “index.html”. (Be careful, if you already have an index.html file on your Owlnet account, give a different name to this file)
3. Create a second Word document called “project”, type one sentence describing your project, inser Rice logo, save as “web page”. This new file is called “project.htm”
4. Create a “hyperlink” on your index.html file. Highlight “Language 102 project” and link to project.htm file.
5. Open F-Secure FTP
6. Connect: select command/connect
   Fill in all appropriate information for your account:
   Jungle.owlnet.rice.edu
   User name (Rice e-mail)
   Password (Rice e-mail)
7. Create folder called public_html in your Owlnet account, if you don't have one alreday
8. Select file (index.html) to be sent and folder (public) to receive file
9. Send “selected” file, click on “file” and select “send file”
10. Send “selected” file.
11. * WARNING: make sure you upload ALL files and folders.
12. To view webpage: http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/~your username
