  • Tuesday 5/2/00    Workshop: Creating Your Own Homepage
We would like to invite you to our workshop on basic homepage design and development with Netscape Composer. No previous knowledge necessary and non Roman characters supported (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Russian). We will show you how to add colors, tables, links and images and much more to your web page.
11:55 AM - 12:55 PM, Rayzor 105, sharing work in progress, lunch provided.
      2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Previous experience with web page design required. We will introduce two
new programs; Interactive Exercise Maker from Swarthmore and ExTemplate
created here by the LRC staff. These programs allow workshop participants
to easily create multiple choice, fill-in the blanks, matching, and click
and drag exercises, without any knowledge of coding required. This is a
very intuitive environment with practically no learning curve!

Please bring with you a disk with old tests or assignments which have
these types of exercises so that you may convert them into web exercises
during the workshop. Or if you prefer, you can also bring a text or
picture (preferably in electronic format) you would like to use to create
        a web exercise.
