LRC Usage Log Procedure
Instructions to Log Your Time

To login your time to show your usage of the LRC software, server or equipment, use the following procedure When you are done in the LRC or on your own computer, use an  internet browser to go to https://lang.rice.edu/apps/log/logusage.html. Follow the "Instruction" link. Click on "LRC Log-in". A form should come up for you to log your hours.

In the proper fields, type in:

• Student ID (6 digits)
• Last name
• First name
• select a four letter course abbreviation from the pull down menu and type the 3 digit course number
  e.g., for ITAL 101, select "ITAL" from the menu and type "101" in the field next to it.
• section, two digit number, e.g., 03, 11
• time spent, in minutes, e.g., 120
• lesson, title of the lesson, audio or video cassette, or laserdisc, e.g., Vorsprung 12A, Destinos 22, Alles Gute 9
• comments, optional, if you want to send a message to your instructor

When you have entered in all the required data, click on the "Log Your Time!" button. Your time in the lab will be recorded, which your instructor can then read over the web.
