3. Take-home assignments (mainly exercises in semantic description, plus one short review of student-selected supplemental reading): 80%

4. Take-home final (semantic description and essay): 20%

(Graduate students will substitute a short descriptive paper (ca. 10 pp.) for the final exam; the assignments will be worth 40%, the paper 60%.)
