1. The name of the organization is "Rice University I.T. Club".
2. The purpose of the organization is as follows:
a) Provide networking relationships for members who want to get into the I.T. profession or I.T. related professions.
b) Educate members of the I.T. profession.
c) Form link between Rice students and the business community via discussion of I.T. topics and holding related activities.
3. The members of this organization shall be as follows:
a) Regular members. All graduate students interested in joining the club.
b) Honorary members. Faculty members who are interested in joining the club.
c) At least one-half of the members must be members of the Rice community. The principal officers of each organization must be currently registered students at Rice University.
4. All members must pay the established membership fee to the Rice University I.T. Club.
5. The Executive committee will consist of the following:
a) The President: who shall oversee all the meetings and activities, and who shall make sure that at all times, the organization is abiding by the rules and regulations set forth by the Student Association of Rice University.
b) The Vice President: shall be responsible for documenting all association paperwork and who will distribute the minutes for all meetings. In the absence of the President, should fulfill his/her tasks.
c) The Treasurer: shall maintain a correct balance of the organizations funds, who shall keep track of the checkbook of the organization, and who shall regularly make available written breakdown of the income and expenses of the organization.
7. Members of the Executive Committee shall be selected by general vote from the pool of candidates every year.
