Welcome to the wonderful world of Joint-Time Frequency Analysis (JTFA).

My name is Jo-Jo the JTFA monkey, and I'll be your guide on our wonderful journey.  This webpage was created for our ELEC 431 DSP class and includes everything you need to know about our final project(s). I hope you enjoy :)

If you look left, you'll see a menu to guide you through this website.  You'll also notice that Jeff and Imran and Jenni decided to do two projects instead of one.  The first is about Otoacoustic Emissions - an active response of the cochlea - read more about it in the introduction of the DPOAE section.  While this project defiinitely does have it's possibility for applications, it's not exactly sexy.

So, instead, they decided to design an event-detection filter capable of picking out one of Michael Jackson's screams in on of Michael Jackson's songs.  All the info on that project is available in the links under the heading Jackson Filter.

Enjoy!!!                      - Jo-Jo
