English 318, Tolkien Mailing List

[subscribe][unsubscribe][sending mail]

This will be a moderated list to discuss and disseminate information specific to the class English 318. Sorry, you must be in the class to join the list.

To subscribe send an email message to:
		listserv@listserv.rice.edu
with no subject. In the body of the message write:
		SUBscribe tolkien@listserv.rice.edu first_name last_name
end
(Replace first_name last_name with your first and last name) You should receive an automated response either confirming your request to be added to the mailing list or a message that something went wrong with your request that that you should try to submit another request.

Every request must be confirmed so please be patient. Please do not resubmit a request to SUBscribe to the list unless you have received a message stating something went wrong.

To unsubscibe to the list send an email message to:
		listserv@listserv.rice.edu
with no subject. In the body of the message write:
		signoff tolkien
end
(replace yourname with your email address (preferably the one you used to SUBscribe to the list)

Again, you should receive a message confirming that you have been removed from the list. You may still receive some mail from the list after you unsubscribe if they were already in transit. Don't worry, this is normal. Otherwise you should receive a message stating that there was a problem and that you should try to submit another request to unsubscribe.
