Application Information
Each participant will receive a stipend of $1500, housing on campus, meals, and assistance with travel costs. Help will be provided for those with special needs.
Any full-time faculty member of any rank who teaches at an American college or university or any foreign citizen who has taught full time in the United States for a minimum of three years is welcome to apply to the Institute. The Institute is especially designed for two and four-year college faculty who teach in the humanities, in particular in English literature, classics (Latin and medieval Latin), foreign languages, comparative literature, medieval studies, music, religious studies, philosophy, history, and the study of women and gender. Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. and several years of teaching for whom the Institute might make the most significant difference in their teaching and research and who have not attended an NEH Institute or Seminar in recent years.
