This committee coordinates projects aimed at providing entrepreneurial advice and education.

Mentorship for Student Entrepreneurs

ITA continues to reach out to Rice students with business ideas or existing businesses who are looking for expert advice specific to their needs. Drawing on its extensive network of professional contacts, ITA hopes to pair these students with professional mentors that can follow them through the development of their businesses. If you are interested in having a mentor or becoming a mentor, please email ita@rice.edu with the subject heading "[MENTORSHIP]".

Weiss 290 Entrepreneurship Course

In the Sping of 2007 ITA in collaboration with the Rice Alliance offered a three credit hour course at Rice designed to teach students the basics of starting their own businesses, from deciding on the right time to getting funding to writing a business plan. ITA plans to continue this well-received course in the Spring of 2008, so check back for updates.
