Tuition, Fees, Room and Board for Entering Freshmen 1999-2000
Undergraduate Tuition: The tuition rate for the entering first
year and transfer students enrolling in 1999 was $15,350. By Board policy,
tuition increases for continuing students each year are tied to the Consumer
Price index and, thus, do not exceed inflation. The following table shows
the annual tuition as applied in this manner for the academic year 1999-2000:
| Students matriculating in 1998-99
Students matriculating in 1997-98 Students matriculating in 1996-97 Students matriculating in 1995-96 Students matriculating in 1994-95 |
$14,900
14,350 13,650 12,750 11,700 |
Any undergraduate who withdraws or takes an approved leave of absence and then gains readmission to theuniversity pays the tuition applicable at their matriculation, plus annual Consumer Price Index increases for aperiod not to exceed six years. After six years, students pay the tuition applicable to the entering freshman class.

Financial Assistance

During the school year 1999-2000, 78% of undergraduate students received some form of financial aid and were eligible to receive financial aid for 10 semesters. All semesters for which students have an active transcript in the Registrar’s Office count in the 10-semester limitation whether they have received financial aid or not.
