HOOTS Summer Scholarship Application

This application is for the competitive scholarships given by the High Order of the Owl Tailgating Society (HOOTS) each summer. You must be an employee or dependent of an employee of Facilities, Engineering & Planning or Housing & Dining of Rice University to be eligible for this scholarship. All eligible applicants will compete for 1 scholarship that will cover the taking of summer courses at Rice University (Enrichment, Skill, or Credit courses). The money will be reimbursed after the completion of the course.

Scholarship Applications are due on May 1st. The awardees are notified by May 4th and the scholarship will be delivered through HOOTS. The selection of the scholarship will be based on a one-page essay on the topic: "Why is education important?" Please type your essay in the form below (around one page in length).
