Letter of Accusation:
The Honor Council received multiple letters of accusation from students accusing a friend of entering equations into their calculator before an exam in a lower level social sciences course. The student in question also submitted a letter of accusation.
Evidence Submitted:
Investigation:
Student A admitted that she had been entering equations into her calculator when she was approached by her friends. She then argued that she deleted the equations shortly after she was confronted by one of her friends. One of the letters of accusation corroborated her story of the events, including the fact that she deleted the equations before the exam. As a result, the Council felt in a unanimous decision that there was no evidence that could prove that the student had used unauthorized aid on the exam in question, because it was confirmed that she had in fact deleted the equations prior to the exam.
Respectfully Submitted,
John Horstman
