That hospital
was Lumboka Memorial Hospital. A private, non-profit hospital in downtown
Bungoma. You can see from the picture that the hospital structure is
incomplete. There are some in-patient rooms upstairs, but most of the second
floor still appears to be “under construction.” This is how the building has
stood for years. They just ran out of money during construction. As far as
equipment goes, they make do with little more than an x-ray machine, an
operating table with lights, and an anesthetic machine.
