Third Year Hindi Courses at Rice
This year long upper level Hindi course is a conversation, reading and writing intensive course. The focus varies each year depending on both, the needs and interests of the students in the class, as well as on contemporary issues. The conversational modules provide students the opportunity to have meaningful discussions on both literary and cultural aspects of Hindi. The reading modules expose the students to literary and stylistic devices from modern Hindi prose, poetry and cultural products (cinema, documentaries, popular magazines). The writing modules develop the students' prose writing capabilities through regular and contextualized assignments.
