Alumni Evening on the Central Quad
A casual gathering for alumni, friends and families. Enjoy light fare and libations, magic and balloon artists, "wearable light" (light necklaces, rings) and the great sounds of Kevin Charles and his band. Kevin's music will span the decades with tunes old and new. This family friendly event is fun for everyone. Stop by at any point 4 – 8 p.m. to enjoy this evening gathering.
Though there is no charge, reservations are requested.

Take the Tour
Meet at the Sallyport for mimosas and start your tour of campus.
Wear your walking shoes and view the buildings of Rice – old and new.
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Class of 1949 Reunion Barbecue
Join classmates and friends for a delightful barbecue, suds and iced tea, and a bit of conversation friendly country western music. Tickets are $25 for alumni and friends. The ticket includes lunch and a game ticket.
(If you are not going to the game, or have a season ticket, just lunch is $12.50.)
Complimentary parking is available at McNair Hall, home of the Jones School of Business.

Dear Members of the Class of 1949,
As class agent, I wish to suggest some possible projects to honor our 60 th anniversary of graduation from Rice. In May, after visiting with Coach Wayne Graham, I began collecting ideas.
He spent an hour telling me of projects for the baseball program.
The projects, along with other suggestions, are listed below:
- A shed to cover the field care equipment (about $40,000)
- A bookcase for trophies ($15,000)
- One or more 1 year scholarships
- Conversion of an existing room to a training room ($100,000+)
- Support of the existing Rice Annual Fund for Student Life and Learning
