The Association of Rice Alumni welcomes you to Rice Homecoming & Reunion 2008!

Did you know that more than 5,000 alumni and friends attend homecoming and reunion yearly?  Homecoming weekend is easily the Association of Rice Alumni's biggest event, and we are thrilled to invite you to join us on campus for a weekend that promises something for everyone.  More than a dozen classes will gather for reunions, special interest groups like the Rice Engineering Alumni and Friends of Fondren are planning annual get-togethers, we'll have a special Owl Kids pregame area, and the game on Saturday against Army will feature fall football at its best.  We're also excited about the concurrent launch of the Centennial Campaign, which is being held over homecoming weekend to give alums from across the nation and beyond the opportunity to join the celebration.  This is a very ambitious capital campaign that will help propel Rice into a second century that will be even more extraordinary than our first.  To give you an idea of what the campaign is all about, we're offering a Centennial Campaign Lecture Series.  You'll hear from professors and other university leaders about new initiatives at Rice, plus some of our all-time favorite professors who make the Rice education so great.  Campaign celebration events will include the All Rice Picnic at lunch on Friday, and the Alumni Evening on the Central Quad Friday night.  And trust us: you won't want to miss the Centennial Campaign video, which captures the spirit of our founding president, Edgar Odell Lovett, celebrates our rich history, and is an inspiring reminder of what Rice at its best both is and can be.
