The Environmental Intern's Informational Page

The Environmental Intern position lasted from September 1998 to September 2000 and was held by Ryan McMullan. The position is not currently active, but all of the information from its activities is listed here for historical purposes.

The environmental intern position grew out of the efforts of BAKE 302 (Understanding Environmental Systems, spring 1998) and members of the Environmental Programs Steering Committee. The university funded the first two years of its operation.

The projects were:

NEW:
Recycling at Rice--the homepage of the Rice Recycling Program
1998-99 Environmental Progress Report--this is the final report for the 98-99 academic year.  It covers the results of the composting pilot project, recycling research, and investigations into our solid waste.
