ROSEMARY HENNESSY Rosemary Hennessy is a Professor of English and Director of the Center for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. Her publications include NAFTA From Below: Maquiladora Workers, Campesinos, and Indigenous Communities Speak Back (2006), Profit and Pleasure: Sexual Identities in Late Capitalism (2000), Materialist Feminism: A Reader in Class, Difference, and Women’s Lives (1997), and Materialist Feminism and the Politics of Discourse (1993). Her research interests include feminist culture theory, sexuality studies, and U.S.-Mexican studies. She is currently working on a book on the cultures of transnational organizing, Fires on the Border. |
