Logan Browning came to  Rice in 1991 as associate editor of SEL Studies in English Literature 1500-1900, becoming managing editor in 2001, and Editor in January 2007. He is a specialist in Victorian literature and publishing history, and a contributor to the Oxford Reader's Companion to Charles Dickens and other scholarly journals and reference works. He is advisory editor and regular reviewer for the newly revived Hopkins Review as well as an occasional reviewer for the Houston Chronicle. He serves as Faculty Advisor to UBLUE, the Rice arts magazine, and is the secretary and a member of the board of directors of the Friends of Fondren Library at Rice. He is a faculty associate of Hanszen College.
