Based on the responses to a Rice Environmental Survey, Rice students want a lot out of their public transportation system. Fortunately, the METRO light rail can meet these needs. Many Rice Students want to be able to go to fun places. Check out some great places you can get to.
Metro Light Rail is very safe. Just stand behind the beige line, wait until the train stops completely and then board.
At every stop there are payphones where you can call 911 or Lightrail information for free.
The train stops frequently and efficiently. Every 12 minutes a new train arrives.
It only costs $1 to ride the lightrail for up to 3 hours.
A day pass is available for $2. You can use it for the METRO Bus too.
A downtown pass is available for $25 for a whole YEAR. This is a great option for Rice Students.
