Who We Are

Christians on Campus at Rice University

• We are believers in Christ. Thus, We love the Lord Jesus Christ and endeavor to give Him "the first place in all things" (Col. 1:18).

• Our desire is to cooperate with Him for the accomplishment of God's eternal purpose (Eph. 3:11) by ministering the unsearchable riches of Christ (Eph. 3:8) for the building up of the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:12).

• We warmly receives all believers in Christ and seek to maintain the oneness of the Spirit by keeping our focus on Christ. He is so rich! He is so full! He is everything to us, and we enjoy Him.

• Christians on Campus is a registered student organization at Rice University. We hold the faith that is common to all believers.

• Through daily prayer, Bible reading, and Christian fellowship we are growing "in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and unto the day of eternity. Amen" (2 Pet. 18).

What We Believe

We hold the faith which is common to all believers (Titus 1:4; Jude 3):

• The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word-by-word by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16)
• God is uniquely one, yet triune --the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (1 Tim. 2:5a; Matt. 28:19)
• The Son of God even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ (Jn. 1:1, 1:14)
• Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption (1 Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7a)
• Christ resurrected from among the dead on the third day (1 Cor. 15:4)
• Christ ascended to the right hand of God to be Lord of all (Acts 1:9, 2:33, 2:36)
• Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the one Body of Christ (Acts 20:21; Jn. 3:3; Eph. 1:22-23; Rom. 12:5)
• Christ is coming again to receive His believers to Himself (1 Thes. 2:19)

What We Do

Small Groups
During the week, we get together on the campus and in homes to fellowship, pray, sing, and enjoy the Lord in His Word... 

Meetings
We also gather weekly in a larger way for dinner, rejoicing, singing, praying, reading, and fellowshipping to pursue the Lord together...

Announcing the Good News
We like to go out and share Christ as the gospel with our fellow students on the Rice University campus...

Semester Conferences
During the semester, we come together with other students from different universities to enjoy Christ in His Word and fellowship in an environment that is free from busy schedules, anxieties of school, and other distractions...

One-Day Outings
During the semester, we get together for a one-day outing to have some singing, fellowship, Bible study, and recreation...

Truth & Blending Tour
Every Spring Break we visit a different area of the country for truth study, evangelization, recreation, and blending with our affiliated clubs in that region...
