Rice Coffeehouse Web Site
The Rice Coffeehouse Web site you are currently viewing was launched in early October 2006. It was designed from scratch by David Stagg, Graphic and Web Designer for the Student and Recreation Centers of Rice University. It strives to adhere to Web Standards, and works best in Firefox.
Any and all questions regarding this Web site should be directed to David Stagg, dstagg [at] rice.edu.
Past Web sites
This version of the Rice Coffeehouse Web site, of course, was not the first. There were many to come before. What follows is a vague, somewhat scattered archive of what used to be known as Rice Coffeehouse Web design:
1999-2000
One of the very first inceptions of Web design.
The page didn't change much... Actually, it didn't change at all. The same KOCs were listed for quite some time; the menu hadn't changed.
Note the creative use of white space.
2000-2002
Between late 2000 and late 2002, there was a second version of the Web site, utilizing everyone's favorite Internet trick: frames. Screen shots are not available, but that may be a good thing.
Late 2002
The third major design change, this time done by David Chien.
