ANISOTROPIC BREMSSTTRAHLUNG EMISSION FOR THE FLARE OF AUGUST 21, 2002 The angle-dependent electron-proton bremsstrahlung cross section (Gluckstern & Hull, 1953) is a function of the angle between the photon and incoming electron directions. The pre-collisions electrons have a wide range of directions because they have finite pitch angle and spiral around magnetic field lines. In this contribution we assume electrons uniformly distributed within a cone of half-angle alpha and we reconstruct regularized electron spectra for different viewing angles for the flare of August 21, 2002. We use several values for alpha, ranging from 0 (unidirectional cross-section) to 180 (isotropic cross-section).
