Graduate Application Checklist

 

We prefer that all materials be sent electronically through the application, however, if you are mailing documents it is highly recommended that all materials be sent in one package or envelope to ensure that no materials are lost. Due to the volume of applications, we are not able to verify receipt of your packages or provide the status of individual applications.

_________ Application Form: Only online applications are accepted
_________ Application Fee: $70.00, must be paid online via debit or credit card
_________ Three Letters of Evaluation: The preferred method of receipt is electronically. Instructions for electronic submission are included in the application. If you are not using electronic submission, hard copy letters must be sent by the recommending party or be sent with your other application materials in envelopes that are sealed and signed by the person who is writing the letter.
_________ Transcripts: Official, confidential transcripts from each institution that you have attended.
_________ Personal Statement: This should focus on your professional goals in the field of chemical engineering.

GRE Scores: Instruct the testing service to send these scores to Rice University. Subject matter tests are not required.

_________ TOEFL Requirements: Foreign applicants must have TOEFL scores sent to Rice University. (School Code 6609, Department Code 64)

DEADLINE FOR ADMISSION: January 15th
of the calendar year you wish to enter the program.
