Dr. Ka-Yiu San

Major advances have been made in developing molecular biology techniques for introducing genetic control in cells. In this project, we will utilize these tools to manipulate and engineer microbial cells such that they can produce useful chemicals and fuels from various renewable carbon sources more efficiently.
