Faculty Proposals 2008-2009
The following are links to the project proposals that are
being offered for the 2008-2009 Rice University Century
Scholar program. These proposals have been submitted
by faculty wishing to be mentors.
When you select a project link you will be taken to a page
with the project proposal as well as links to the faculty member's
web page (where applicable) and department web page.
Please review these proposals and
faculty information, then identify which projects
you are most interested in pursuing. Feel free to send
an email to the faculty member who has submitted the proposal.
He or she will be happy to answer any questions about their
specific project proposal. If you have general questions
about the program please direct those to Dr. Kellie Sims Butler,
cscholar at rice.edu .
Once you are satisfied that you have explored the opportunities
presented, use the Sign Up Form to designate your project
choices. Using your selection information, we will assign
you to a mentor for the fall 2008 semester. Once you arrive on campus,
you will have several opportunities to meet with your assigned mentor,
other faculty mentors, and students in the program. In late September you will be
asked to finalize your mentor selection with Dr. Butler.
