I
am a graduate student in the Psychology
Department at Rice University. I am on
the cognitive neuroscience tract under the direction of Dr. Jim Dannemiller. I am interested in studying conscious vs.
unconscious processing, and specifically how attention acts to influence these
systems. I study these systems in normal subjects using masking procedures to
render information invisible, and by manipulating attention in specific ways to
assess whether or not attentional manipulations that
affect conscious processing will also affect unconscious processing.
