Off to a slightly rough start, but a good evening. Got through the entire first half with minimal line notes (which from my point of view is a very important thing!) and the trial scene was so good that we decided not to tamper with it and only run it once. Hermione's speeches are gorgeously textured and a pleasure to listen to. Everyone else has wonderful moments throughout the scene as well. The end, with Leontes and Paulina, is very, very nice. If we can be that good opening night, we'll be doing just fine.
Quote of the evening: Director to Antigonus, "She is your half-gallon milk carton of sorrow!"
We also finally have promised to us a "big honking sword of justice," courtesy of sometime BakerShakespeareite Amy Hemphill. One less prop to worry about.
