No rehearsal, else I am much mistaken. However, I have written a press kit blurb for the show, which albeit a bit on the florid side, probably answers the purpose:
THE WINTER'S TALE is, of Shakespeare's later comedies, one of the most eloquent and complex, deftly bringing elements of tragedy and comedy to a magical conclusion. King Leontes of Sicilia, in a jealous fit of rage, accuses his queen Hermione of being unfaithful, and casts out his infant daughter in the belief that she is not his own. He learns that he was wrong, but too late, when Hermione has died of grief in the midst of her public show-trial. But the daughter is rescued, and when she is grown, events conspire to bring father and daughter together in a bittersweet reunion.
