22 January, 1997 -- "A Gallimaufry of Gambols"

Good rehearsal tonight. Started off with a session of Freeze Improv -- ought to do this again. Gets the energy going nicely, and we have some great improv folks in thr group. Much less inhibited than when we were doing the iambic pentameter exercises last night. :-)

More discussion of text during the read-through. Some very good questions to consider: What sort of a character will Autolycus be -- a somewhat scuzzier Falstaff, or a young rapscallion? How much of a plotter is Camillo, in fact -- does he really send Florizel to Sicilia and betray him to Polixenes with larger motivations of reconciling the kings and returning to his home country? Also some good ideas for stage business, particularly Autolycus' scenes.

Roger, our Polixenes, out with the flu. Steven and Amy are also unwell -- I suppose it's better that we get this out of the way now so that no one is ill during production!
