Assignments and Due Dates

Week one begins 8-Jan. For full credit, prelab assignments must be submitted by the indicated day. Consult the section on research papers for submission instructions for writing assignments. The policies page explains the course policy toward writing assignments that are submitted late.

Week one

  • Prelab #1 is to be completed before your lab day the first week
  • Complete the self evaluation of skills (over the web) before attending lab this week
  • At the end of the first lab period (and every lab period after) turn in copies of notebook pages as instructed

Week two

  • Prelab #2 must be completed and submitted electronically by midnight before your lab day this week

Week three

  • Prelab #3 is to be completed and submitted electronically by midnight before your lab day this week

Week four

  • Prelab #4 is to be completed and submitted electronically by midnight before your lab day this week
  • The first writing assignment, materials and methods for the SDS-PAGE study, is due in the laboratory on your assigned day this week
  • Download the annotated writing examples (pdf) to help you with your writing assignments.>
  • You must bring suitable copies of your gel photos to the laboratory this week

Week five

  • Prelab #5 is to be completed and submitted electronically by midnight before your lab day this week
  • The results section for the SDS-PAGE study is due in lab this week

Week six

Week seven

Weeks eight - ten

  • The mid-semester recess counts as a full week (was week 9 in spring 2008)
  • No assignments are due these weeks

Week eleven

Week twelve - no assignments due

Week thirteen

Week fourteen - no assignments due

Week fifteen

Finals week

  • The final exam has been scheduled for Tuesday April 29, 9 am to noon, room to be announced
  • For those who have a conflict with the scheduled final I will give alternative finals in BL 141 at 9 am and 2 pm Monday April 28 and at 2 pm Tuesday April 29; you need not sign up
