Anna
Hardigree is currently a third-year graduate student in
Rice University's graduate program in
Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her primary advisor is
Dr. Margaret Beier, an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with
whom she does work regarding adult intellectual development and
predicting success for adults in organizational settings.
Anna
is currently working on her master's thesis, entitled "Meta-analysis of
Age/Performance Relation: Is Job Complexity a Moderator?" in which she has expanded upon past research by examining the relation between and job performance with job complexity as a moderator. She expects that the study will have broad theoretical and practical implications by helping researchers gain a more finely tuned understanding of the relation among cognitive ability, age, and job performance. She hopes to complete her thesis and
report her findings by May 2006.
In addition to her research, Anna is
also an intern with Personnel Decisions International (PDI), a global human resources consulting firm.
Anna looks forward to pursuing
an applied career in consulting when she receives her Ph.D. in May 2007.
