Ever since the plane carrying Lech Kaczyński, President of Poland, and ninety-five other Poles crashed near the Russian city of Smolensk on 10 April 2010, Poles have spontaneously gathered in front of the Presidential Palace in Warsaw to express their concern about the events whose details have not been revealed by the Russians to date. This picture was taken on 4 June 2010. In addition to the mourners, it shows a wooden cross brought to the site by boy scouts. Photo by Sarmatian Review staff. |
