| THANK YOU FOR INTEREST IN THE YOUNG CHILDRENS DIVISION Classes for the young child are based on the Dalcroze ideas that movement in response to music is the basis for musical interpretation, and is a necessary component for building successful musicianship. Classes, which are led by Rachel Buchman and her trained assistants, meet on a weekly basis. Class size is limited to twelve children per class, and children are enrolled only when the full tuition has been paid. Registration for these classes is an eight-month commitment, and priority is given to returning students.
Interested in the Young Children's Division? The Young Children’s Division is an ongoing musicianship program. In a creative, relaxed environment, children explore fundamentals such as dynamics, tempo, pitch, rhythm, phrasing, and form, while expressing their own musical feelings and ideas through singing, playing and moving. These classes are highly recommended for children taking instrumental lessons, as well as those who might do so. |
