SUSAN ARCHIBALD, a native of Nova Scotia, Canada, is in her second year as a staff pianist at the Shepherd School of Music. Before coming to Houston, she completed a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Anne Epperson. She has performed in recital with members of the Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Symphony and Toronto Symphony.
She was a first prize winner in the Canadian Music Competitions and accompanied a top prize winner in the 1993 Munich International Competition. She has performed on NPR, Bavarian Radio, CBC Radio, and Radio-Canada, and collaborated in recitals in the U.S., Canada and Germany.
