Emily Page
Director
Emily Dexter Page has been the Director of the Wellness Center at Rice University for five years. She is a graduate of Missouri State University with a BFA in Dance Performance and an MS in Health Promotion and Wellness Management. Emily is a member of the American College Health Association and the Houston-Galveston College Health Consortium. She and her husband, Eric, are Resident Associates at Baker College. Emily is the staff advisor for Colleges Against Cancer (CAC). She has also been an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society, serving on the local planning committee for the Relay For Life of Houston - Texas Medical Center.
Marissa Howat
Assistant Director
Marissa Howat is a Certified Health Education Specialist with a BS in Health Promotion and Community Development. Marissa presented at the American College Health Association Annual Meeting in San Antonio last June. She is the staff advisor for the Health Reps and was recently selected as a new RA at Jones college. One of her favorite things is finding new places to go running and meeting new people to run with!
Stacia Morgan
Office Assistant
Stacia Morgan, a native of Galveston, Texas, is a 2005 Graduate of Rice University having received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Shepherd School of Music. Stacia received her Bachelor of Music in 2003 from University of Houston Moores School of Music. Stacia currently sings in the Houston Grand Opera Chorus and is a Cantor with the Schola Cantorum of The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
Brandi Powell,
Nutritionist
Brandi Powell, MS, LD/RD receieved her graduate degree in nutrition from Texas Women’s University in the medical center. She also has a background in fitness and has taught group exercise classes for over ten years. Her passion is assisting others along their journey to wellness. She enjoys giving her clients practical, no-nonsense tips to improve their eating habits. You won’t believe how much better you’ll feel when your nutrition is on track!
Julia Fraser
Registered Massage Therapist
Julia Fraser has accumulated 50 hours of prenatal, labor, and infant massage training, studying with Bodywork for the Childbearing Year. She has also completed a 20-hour certification course from Balanced Bodywork Institute in Houston. Julia has completed additional courses in chair massage, Reiki (3 degrees), ear candling, stone massage and deep tissue work. She is also a certified "Laugh Master."
