Before You Head Airport
Verify Flight Status
Once you decide to pick up a new student/students, please contact him/her/them to
confirm the flight #, time, etc in case that there are some mistakes in this
website although I try to avoid it. I will update information as soon as
possible if there is anything changes. Before you head
to the airport, it will be better if you check the airline website for the
airport, arrival gate, arrival time information. You can
find flight status of IAH at http://www.houstonairportsystem.org/iah_default.htm
and Hobby at http://www.houstonairportsystem.org/hou_default.htm
IAH has terminal A, B, C, IAB. Hobby has only one terminal. This gate
information might be changed if a flight is delayed.
Learn Your Way Back
Most new students live at the new graduate apartments. The address is: 1515 Bissonnet. The office hour is 9:00am to 10:00pm. The phone number is: (713)348-GRAD(4723)
If the new students check in during the office hour, you will get keys
and clickers from the RA at the front desk. This year the check-in procedure
must be done before you can get into the room.
Emergency
In case you cannot go, your car won't start, please contact me or any other committee members. We will find backup volunteers. Please contact us early if you cannot go.
