3. Discount Card
As announced at the party, we have a discount card available. The most
valuable benefit is that you can get 10% off when shopping at DingHao
supermarket of China Town. It also shows discount from car repair
service, barber, realty agent, vision store, bookstore, accountant,
lawyer, and medical services. We have 50 of them, they are available to
members of RCSSC at $3 each. Please contact me to get one. The money
we charged will be used to hold other RCSSC events and activities.

4. Video Tape
We have made 3 copies of the video which contains military parade and
some performance during the celebration of 50th National Day of
   P. R. China. They were added to our collection of video tapes. Currently,
I am still managing these tapes at my office. If somebody wants to take
over the responsibility, please talk to me.

5. Office Hours
I would like to set 5:30-6:00pm Monday, Wednesday as my office hours
for handling RCSSC related things. If you want to buy a discount card
or borrow a video tape, please come by during my office hours. Thank
you if you can observe the office hours.

[Subject 2: Badminton Match]
[Date: 10/26/1999]

RCSSC together with Rice Badminton Club (RBC) propose to organize a
badminton game among RCSSC members in the near future. We are not sure
what the exact feature of game is like, how many people are actually
interested, what is the good time for having this game. More precisely,
what game options do we need: men's single, women's single, men's double,
... ... Or partition in groups, like new students vs. old students ... ...
For the game, RBC will be responsible for renting the court and handling
everything related to the university, RCSSC will be responsible for
buying prizes. If you are interested or if you have questions, comments,
suggestions, please send them to Lai Ding, the current president of RBC.
We need your feedback and we need to count how many people are interested.
Lai Ding's email address is: lding@rice.edu.
Thank you for your help. Thank you also for your patience if you have
   read this far.
