You can do both at Yin Cheng-Zong's Piano Concert at University of Houston's
Moores Opera House  May 8,  Saturday, from 7:30-9:30 PM.  This event is
sponsored by SOS China Education Fund and the Moores School of Music,
University of Houston, and all the proceeds will go to the fund and be used to
help children in China's rural areas go to school.

Yin Cheng-Zong, known as "China's best pianist" and  one of the world's
leading pianists, was the Gold Medalist of the World's Youth Peace and
Friendship Festival held in Vienna in 1959, and the second prize winner of the
1962 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, when he was only 20. He has since
become a legend in the music world, and one of the four Chinese musicians
listed in the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.

 In 1983, Mr. Yin made his Carnegie Hall debut in New York, and he has been
back in the Hall four times as a soloist. The New York Times called him
"China's best pianist".  Over the years,  Yin has traveled  all over the world
as a soloist and has performed under the baton of Eugene Ormandy and the
Philadelphia Orchestra, Claudio Abbado and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra,
Kiril Kondrashin and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Sir Malcolm Sargent
and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, in addition to his shows in New
York's Lincoln Hall. His solos were featured in China's CCTV and BBC Sunday
Morning.  Mr. Yin has released over 20 recordings, including the All Chopin CD
and Debussy's 24 Preludes. 

On May 8, for the first time, Mr. Yin is bringing his Carnegie Hall
performance skills to Houstonians, and hope to help thousands of children in
China who are too poor to go to school.  SOS China Education Fund-Houston
invites you to enjoy the best music in the world, and show your love and care
to thousands of less privileged children. 

At the Concert, Yin will play Haydn's Sonata in F Major, Schubert's Four
Impromptus Opus 142 (D.935), Debussy's Preludes (Book I), and Chinese
Legendary Songs: Story of Red Lamp (Hong2 Deng1 Ji4), Moon over the River in a
Spring Night (Chun1 Jiang1 Hua1 Yue4 Ye4), and Day of Liberty (Fan1 Shen1 de1
re1 zhi3). This  concert is not only the best opportunity for people who love
music, but also for children who are learning piano, for people who want to
meet a legendary artist in China's history. Your purchasing payment for
tickets will be regarded as a donation for supporting the needy children.

There are only about 750 tickets available for this world firsticlass piano
concert. The prices for tickets are $15, $20, $25, $50, and $100. The tickets
are being sold out quickly. It is expected that the tickets will be sold out
