PROFESSOR EMERITUS RAPHAEL FLIEGEL
CELEBRATES HIS 85TH BIRTHDAY

Raphael Fliegel, former concertmaster and principal second violinist with the Houston Symphony Orchestra and Professor Emeritus of Violin at the Shepherd School of Music celebrated his 85th birthday with fellow colleagues at this fall's graduate student orientation.

Raphael is seen here joined by Shepherd School Dean Robert Yekovich and Professor Michael Webster. Mr. Fliegel's Orchestra Repertoire Class is an essential element in the training and musicianship of the orchestral players in the Shepherd School Orchestras.
