Once a month HACER will schedule a Night Out where we will experience
the different Hispanic cultures represented in Houston. Activities may
include eating at Latin American restaurants, watching folkloric dance
performances, attending Hispanic/Latin art museum exhibits, and,
most importantly, dancing at our favorite salsa/merengue clubs.
(or we may just go bowling...)

Metropolis (713-975-1917) is the most popular Latin club in Houston
for Rice undergrads. It's located at 8935
Richmond. Read about the club at Houston.CitySearch.Com.
On Saturdays they play Salsa/Merengue, Cumbias--a good mix of
everything in the large room. The small room has Hip/Hop. The cover
for minors is $10-12 but you only pay about $6 if you're over 21.
