Minutes for October 2002 Meeting

1. The meeting was called to order at 6:08 p.m.

2. Cheryl Matherly informed Reps about the upcoming Career Fair to be held in Farnsworth Pavillion on Friday, November 1st.  She solicited feedback and encouraged all to attend. 

3. Changes to campus parking procedures were briefly discussed in light of providing exemptions and acknowledgements for social and community-oriented visitors to Rice.  Miles Scotcher, president, requested Rep input to be included in a letter to be written to parking authorities about this issue.

4. The issue of grad student space on campus was discussed, and a survey distributed in order to gauge the extent to which different departments felt such a space was needed.

5. The meeting was adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
