Minutes for May Meeting 1.The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. 2.The treasurer - Eric Darling - introduced and explained the new budget. The main change to the budget was the increased funds resulting from greater graduate student enrollment. The money will be spent on more enhancement grants, beer bike, increased yellow pages funding, and more sports funding (tickets for grad students to attend sporting events). Several questions arose regarding enhancement grants and our role in the NAGPS, but the budget was passed without opposition. 3.Changes were proposed to the Honour Council constitution such that the word 'trial' no longer appears. 'Trial' is to be replaced with 'hearing' to more accurately reflect the nature of the proceedings and remove criminal implications. The changes were passed without opposition. 4.Ad-sellers and assistant editors for the yellow pages were requested. Interested parties were requested to contact External VP Michelle Calabretta at mcal@rice.edu. 5.The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. Reps in attendance: David Heroy, Earth Sciences Julie Kutac, Religious Studies Jaime Becnel, BCB Romer Gil, Computer Science Richard Rauch, Math Amy Pollard, English Rebecca Daprato, CWI/ENVI Srinivas Ramakrishnan, MEMS Patrick Lennon, CENG Matthew Wettergreen, BIOE Heidi Holtorf and Jen Steele (parliamentarian) were also in attendance
